Nose Surgery - Patient 38987 BEFORE & AFTER
Procedure Description
Closed Rhinoplasty (Nose Surgery). This 17-year-old female patient underwent a closed rhinoplasty. She came to Aristocrat Plastic Surgery unhappy with the shape and size of her nose. Dr. Tehrani recommended a “closed rhinoplasty” procedure for her. In a closed rhinoplasty procedure, only internal incisions are made. This option is usually possible for less extensive cases. Dr. Tehrani uses the closed technique when possible since it results in no visible scars. While open nose surgery does create a scar across the columella, the incision is small, placed under the nose, and becomes virtually unintelligible within a few months. General anesthesia is used for most nose surgeries, but local anesthesia with intravenous sedation may be sufficient in some cases. Dr. Tehrani and our anesthesiologists will help you make the decision that is best for you. With an emphasis on diagnosis and with the aid of cosmetic computerized imaging, Dr. Therani will create a plan to obtain the most satisfying result for you.
