Fraxel Re:Store Dual
Is Fraxel Re:Store Dual Right For You?
For the last ten years, Fraxel Laser treatments have been considered to be one of the most advanced laser skin resurfacing techniques in the cosmetic industry. Their newest innovation, Fraxel Re:Store, combines the dual power of two types of lasers, erbium lasers and thulium lasers, for an effective but gentle skin resurfacing treatment that targets scarring, hyperpigmentation, and hard to treat wrinkles.
The Fraxel Re:Store Dual Laser treats:
- Hard to treat wrinkles around the eyes
- Acne scars
- Surgical scars
- Age spots and sunspots
- Melasma
- Actinic Keratoses (precancerous lesions)
- Hyperpigmentation
- Brown spots
While most patients require 3-5 treatments every 3-8 weeks, the treatment is quick, gentle, and has minimal side effects. The Fraxel Re:Store is also adjustable enough to use any kind of skin type, from dark to light, and can be used in other parts of the body that have dark spots, like the chest, back, legs, and arms.

A Fraxel Laser is called a “fractional laser” because they use thousands of microscopic columns of lasers (that’s one-tenth the diameter of a hair follicle!) with specific depths and widths to reach deep into the skin. The combined Erbium and Thulium lasers then stimulate collagen production and the regeneration of healthy, fresher skin. Because it’s so precise, a Fraxel Laser treatment can avoid healthy tissue and only target problem areas.
How Does It Work?
Types of Fraxel Lasers
Fraxel Clear + Brilliant
Fraxel Clear + Brilliant uses both laser light and an antioxidant formula to repair sun damage, smooth wrinkles, brighten the skin, improve skin texture, and reduce enlarged pores. The antioxidant, Perméa, increases skin permeability so that your skin can absorb more of the product’s beneficial ingredients.
Just one 10-30-minute treatment will improve your skin. Most patients get 4-6 treatments every two weeks and then occasional treatments to maintain results. Individual results will vary.
Of all the Fraxel lasers, Clear + Brilliant has the “lightest touch” and the fastest recovery. This is why it’s sometimes called the “baby Fraxel.” Residual redness is usually gone within 12 hours.

Fraxel Re:Pair
Fraxel Re:Pair, a carbon dioxide laser, is the best Fraxel device for the signs of aging and severe sun damage due to its ability to treat a deeper layer of the skin. As a result of this deep penetration, 3-5 days of downtime are usually required.
You will continue to see improvement in lines and wrinkles for 3-6 months after your treatments. Most patients receive at least two Fraxel Re:Pair treatments. Individual results will vary.
A topical numbing agent is used to decrease discomfort, and you can expect some oozing, itching, peeling, and crusting during the healing process.

Meet Dr. Kevin Tehrani, MD FACS
How Safe is the Fraxel Re:Store Dual?
Dr. Tehrani may prescribe a lymphatic massage to some patients. A lymphatic massage is the best way to ease swelling, bruising, and discomfort after surgeries.
After surgery, you are fitted with an elastic garment after surgery that you must wear for two to three weeks. You can go home a couple of hours after the procedure in the care of a friend or family member. We can arrange for a private nurse at your request.
Most patients describe the pain following liposuction as mild. Pain medication will be prescribed, and you can expect some post-surgical bruising and swelling. The bruising will resolve within a week or so, but the swelling may take two weeks to go down completely. Most people take no more than a week off from work, and exercise should be avoided for at least two weeks.
We will encourage you to walk short distances for the first several days after your procedure, and we will, of course, monitor your healing progress.
