Xeomin®
Xeomin® is an FDA-approved injection treatment that reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles that are caused by overactivity of certain facial muscles. It is similar to Botox® and Dysport and is injected directly into the site of wrinkles to prevent the underlying muscles from contracting.
Is Xeomin® Right For You?
The difference between Xeomin® and Botox® is that Xeomin® does not contain the same exact protein structure derived from Clostridium botulinum, so it can be used on patients who have an allergy to the substance in Botox® and Dysport.
After the injections, patients will notice their facial muscles gradually relaxing over the next few days as the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles disappear. Xeomin® lasts approximately four months, like Botox®. Results will differ from patient to patient.

The Xeomin® Treatment
The Xeomin® treatment involves several tiny injections administered directly into the facial muscles that cause frown lines and other wrinkles. For most patients, the injection is placed between the eyebrows to immobilize facial muscles in the forehead that cause frown lines.
The Xeomin® injections are generally painless and do not require anesthesia, although a numbing agent may be used to help minimize any discomfort from the injection for patients who are anxious about the treatment. Treatment sessions usually take less than 15 minutes.
The results of Xeomin® are visible within 1-7 days after treatment.
