Our 35 year-old patient underwent a TUBA breast augmentation using 360cc Natrelle smooth saline implants, plus a later tension abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), and breast lift. The TUBA procedure (or Trans-Umbilical Breast Augmentation), is an endoscopic implantation procedure in which the surgeon uses an endoscope, a lighted scope with a camera on a long, flexible rod, to observe from the outside what he is doing on the inside. TUBA breast augmentations are unique in that the incision for the implants is made inside the naval, or “belly button” where it is undetectable due to the natural skin folds in the area, resulting in a scarless procedure.
