Our 38-year-old female patient came to Aristocrat seeking a breast reduction. Due to the weight and size of her breasts which were very large and pendulous, she was experiencing back pain, among other conditions that could include neck and shoulder pain, indentations from bra straps, skin irritation from beneath her breasts, and limits to her physical activity. Her personal, one-on-one consultation with Dr. Tehrani led to a recommendation for her to undergo a breast reduction procedure.
Performed under general anesthesia, breast reduction, also known as reduction mammoplasty, is a procedure in which fat, glandular tissue and skin are removed from the breasts, making them smaller, lighter, and firmer. The breast tissue is also reshaped, and the nipple areola complex is reduced, if desired. The goal was to give our patient smaller, better-shaped breasts more in proportion to the rest of her body. As a result of her breast reduction procedure, our patient experienced immediate comfort, and couldn’t be happier with her results!
