Breast Reduction - Patient 8529 BEFORE & AFTER
Procedure Description
Our 48-year-old female patient underwent a breast reduction, also known as reduction mammoplasty. Breast reduction is a procedure in which fat, glandular tissue and skin are removed from the breasts, making them smaller, lighter, and firmer. The breast tissue is also reshaped. Our patient also had nipple reduction, in which the nipple areola complex is reduced, The goal is to achieve smaller, better-shaped breasts that are in proportion with the rest of the body. Candidates include women who are troubled by very large, sagging breasts that restrict their activities and cause them physical discomfort. A breast reduction can be performed for cosmetic improvement, as well as symptomatic relief.
