Earlobe Repair - Patient 32473 BEFORE & AFTER
Procedure Description
Earlobe Repair (Otoplasty). Our 23-year-old female patient came to Aristocrat Plastic Surgery looking to improve the look of her ears. In her consultation with Dr. Tehrani, she expressed her feelings that her ears stuck out too much from her head, and were very large looking. After her physical exam and meeting with Dr. Tehrani, he recommended that she undergo an otoplasty procedure, or earlobe repair, which involves brining in the ears with a small suture behind the ear, making it barely visible. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia. The recovery period is very short, as patients of all ages usually feel back to normal after a few hours, although the ears may ache for a few days. Otoplasty leaves a barely visible scar on each ear that fades with time. After our patient’s procedure and recovery, she was very happy with her results and no longer feels self-conscious about her ears.
