There is no reason not to ask for professional help from experienced professionals when it is required. In a terrible tragedy, an Illinois woman, 63, died after she injected her face with hot beef fat, the ABC News reports.
Janet Hardt didn’t die from the questionable injection, the doctors said. She died from bacterial infection soon after the homemade cosmetic surgery. Mrs. Hardt boiled beef, collected the fat and injected it into her face to simulate the effect of the medically approved injectables that tighten the face. After injecting the beef fat, she went to the hospital complaining that her face felt as if it was burning. The doctors found the infection, but after the autopsy later, it was discovered that she died from peritonitis, an inflammation of the abdomen’s inner wall.
It is a quite bizarre story, and a sad tragedy, but there are lessons to be learned. Is it worth ruining your health, your face or lose a life over trying to save a little bit of money? Be smart and careful, use medically approved injectables, and always, always consult a doctor!
